It’s no secret professional golfers are some of the most well-dressed athletes in sports, with thoughtfully curated outfits styled in advance for each day of a tournament. As summer heats up, we’ve selected a few of the driving trends and classics seen sported by pro golfers to add to your inventory.
Bold Pops of Color and Pastels
Not everyone can be Justin Thomas, 2017 PGA Champion, and rock a vibrant solid pink on the fairway. Tone it down with a classic hue and just a pop of color, and you’ve got most of the pro’s style this year. The most popular color combination we’ve seen utilizing this approach is seafoam green and navy blue.
Beyond the bold pops of color, pastels are also being sported for the summer season. From mint green, to muted apricot, to soft baby blue – these colors are pleasing to the eye and have been seen expertly styled on pro golfer, Rickie Fowler.
Matching Hats and Visors
Professional players matching their hats and visors with their attire isn’t new, but a well coordinated outfit from head-to-toe will never go out of style.
Jimmy Walker, 2016 PGA Champion, often opts for tight-fitting athletic clothes in muted colors, matching his hat with his shirt or pants. You can also find PGA Tour player Jon Rahm sporting a matching cap and shirt look on the green.
Two great options for your customers to style are the Adidas Core Performance Relaxed Cap (a close-fitting athletic hat offered in a classic range of colors), or the Adidas Mesh Colorblock Cap (a semi-structured snapback allowing a nice pop of color).
Vertical stripes, varsity stripes, mobility stripes – stripes are everywhere, and not just on the golf course. Some of the most popular variations we’ve seen the pros wear lately are gradient stripes (ex: Olympian Rickie Fowler), and color block stripes (ex: Pro Golfer Bubba Watson)
These are just a few of our favorite styles this season. What golf apparel does your business like to keep in stock?
